A New Neighbourhood Beach House Will Soon Open in Echo Beach

Opening 7 July 2023, Electric Eel, the latest venue by Bali hospitality favourites Tai “Buddha” Graham and Adam McAsey is a new neighbourhood beach house restaurant and lounge with an irresistibly homey vintage vibe overlooking the surf at Echo Beach in Canggu, Bali.

The vision also comes through the menu with an assortment of grandma cakes and baked goods from the counter baked fresh and daily. Classic breakfast staples include the Egg & Ham, with fried eggs, glazed ham leg, hashbrown, heirloom tomatoes and sourdough; Ricotta pancakes with honeycomb butter and maple; and a Bacon and Egg butty like no other – taking morning recovery food to a new realm.

From 12pm guests can dig into Iberico Coppa with rockmelon and gremolata; a Crumbed fish sandwich with tartar sauce; Calamari with salted cucumber yoghurt and preserved lemon; Charcuterie with baguette, butter and mustard; Frito misto with prawns, bug tails, scallops and vegetables. A dinner vibe comes alive through mains that feature a Chicken schnitzel with salted cabbage and jalapeno mayo; Steak frites with grass fed organic tenderloin, hand cut fries, herb butter, and black peppercorn gravy; and a twist on the Prawn cocktail with pomelo and green goddess to name a few.

At Electric Eel the drinks list is carefully curated to offer something for every taste and occasion. Start your day off right with a selection of fresh juices and smoothies or enjoy signature coffee creations. When it’s time to unwind, the cocktail menu offers a range of options, from frozen drinks like the Coconut Passion, to fresh cocktails. During aperitivo hour, enjoy natural wines like the Costadila Pet Nat Prosecco or the Tenuta Foresto, Favonio Moscato, or opt for a classic cocktail like the Old

Spread out over two floors, this 80 seat restaurant features a downstairs chefs counter plus dining room, and an upstairs coastal lounge with bar and terrace that is a true depiction of the urban island feel. The chef’s counter invites diners day and night to get a front row seat to the culinary action while coastal seating upstairs provides the perfect view for sunsets over the Indian Ocean with cocktails in hand. In the evening, the lights go down, dinner is served to the sounds of crashing waves from the beach below, and great bottles of world-renowned wines are opened.
