The Apurva Kempinski Bali January 26th – 29th, 2020 A Michelin-Starred Gastronomy Celebration

KempinskiFrom 26 to 29 January 2020, The Apurva Kempinski Bali presents the most exciting dining event, ‘A Gastronomy Celebration’ featuring the highly acclaimed Chef Christophe Schmitt. He will be coming to Pala Restaurant, Japanese Restaurant Izakaya by OKU and the newly-unveiled aquarium restaurant Koral to indulge local gastronomes with his creativity and French cooking philosophy.

Reputed for pushing gastronomic boundaries, Chef Christophe is regarded as one of France’s most prominent and driven talents. Chef Christophe, who has garnered 1* Michelin Stars for L’Almandin, France and Le Diane Restaurant Hôtel Fouquet’s Barrière, Paris will join hands with the resort’s own award-winning team to bring the artistic Indonesian-French creations. Chef Eric Cocollos helms the passionate team at The Apurva Kempinski Bali, which includes acclaimed talents who came from an exceptional culinary background, in some of the world’s most outstanding two and three-star Michelin Restaurants. Amongst them, many are winners of prestigious awards and recognitions. Together with Chef Christophe, patrons can expect the accomplished chefs to deliver a unique collaboration that brings out an elevated experience.


Guests will experience a special French twist during the Sunday Brunchcation on 26 January. In Izakaya by OKU, Chef Christophe will team-up with the award-winning Chef Weng Kit Ho and Deni Koswara to craft a 5-course Omakase Degustation. On 29 January, Chef Christophe will work together with Koral Restaurant’s chefs Imam Fayumi and Adam to create a special 4-course set dinner menu.
