On Friday, 13th of September, Seminyak’s beachside bar and restaurant – SugarSand – is flying out award-winning Chef Ben Spalding all the way from London to team up with our Executive Chef Nic Philip to present an exciting 12 dishes over 4-course barbeque feast served shared-style complete with cocktail pairings. Not only set to rock the kitchen, Chef Ben Spalding will also rock the dance floor with his first-ever live DJ set in Bali spinning deep-boogie house tunes.
Taking inspiration from the Japanese izakaya culinary culture, Chef Nic and Ben are presenting an exciting barbeque and grill menu with a sharing concept. As for the cocktail pairings, SugarSand’s own mixologist Juni Bent is partnering with talent from the most happening speakeasy bar in Bali – 40 Thieves – to concoct inspired cocktails highlighting the locally-sourced, homemade ingredients.
Acclaimed London-based chef Ben Spalding brings over fifteen years of experience and hard-earned expertise in the hospitality industry to his role. He honed his skills at some of the world’s finest Michelin-starred restaurants including Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. He was also listed as Zagat 30 under 30 and Times 100 Most Influential People.
Australian Chef Nic Phillip has a wealth of experience gained at luxury resorts in the Asia-Pacific region and at leading European restaurants such as the Michelin-starred Cove Club in London and acclaimed Restaurant Taller in Copenhagen.
Price starts from IDR 800,000 net per person for a 4-course barbeque menu served shared-style and IDR 1,200,000 net per person with cocktail pairing.
