tommy

Hi, could you please tell us a little about yourself?

I am a marketing enthusiast who always looks for challenges and likes to breakdown boxes and stereotypes. I believe in second chances and prefer moving forward than looking backward.

You have never been working in a hotel industry but now you are the Director of Marketing Communication & Event. How could you make it and what kind of challenges that you need to face?

Yes, I have never been in a hotel industry before, but I have always been a marketing person. I think that’s where the dotting line is. I grew up in media industry and then moved to hotel industry. When you think about it, it actually makes sense. It is like driving two different cars. Basically you know how to drive, and you drive well. About challenges it started with the change in culture, then structure and more. Changes are everywhere but people who are lazy to deal with changes will be left behind. Challenges and changes keep me awake and stay outside the box.

What can people in business expect from you?

Fairness, respect, and of course an optimistic result.

What do you think about the hospitality industry in Bali and what do you expect from it?

Hospitality industry is growing and will stay like that for quite a long time. What do I expect from this industry? I just want it to be a great place for people who are committing to the industry. They practically give their life.

What is your biggest weakness?

I am a perfectionist and that can be exhausting. I’m getting better though J

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Dogs, freedom, and weird.
