EMPOWERING WOMEN BARISTAS: MARRIOTT BUSINESS COUNCIL BALI HOSTS LATTE ART COMPETITION

To celebrate International Coffee Day and champion women in coffee industry, Marriott Business Council Bali, through its Women in Leadership (WIL) pillar, will host the first ever Latte Art Competition – Female Coffee Artist. Taking place at the Bali International Convention Center on 1 October 2025, the event provides a platform for female baristas from across Bali to showcase their skills & artistry in coffee making and inspire women to pursue their passions.
More than just a competition, this event is a celebration of talent, creativity, and leadership. Each pour, each design, and each cup tell a story of dedication and passion, reflecting the resilience and talent of women who continue to break barriers and are eager to inspire others. Marriott Business Council Bali seeks to amplify these voices, creating opportunities for women to grow, connect, and inspire one another.
“Through initiatives like this, we want to highlight how women can thrive when given the right opportunities and support. This competition not only celebrates creativity but also aligns with Marriott International’s Serve360 commitment to create a positive and sustainable impact in the communities where we operate. By creating more opportunities for women to thrive, we foster a culture of empowerment and inclusion, enabling them to shine, showcase their talents with confidence, and recognize that their contributions in the community are truly valued,” said Lily Wijaya, General Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Ungasan and Co Chairman – Marriott Business Council Bali – Lombok.
An esteemed panel of coffee experts will judge the participants, evaluating their technical skill, creativity, and artistry in every presentation. While winners will take home exciting prizes, the true essence of the competition lies in the inspiration it ignites and the sense of community it fosters among female baristas in Bali.
“I’m thrilled to support this initiative that shines a light on women in the coffee industry. Just like a great cup of coffee, this event promises to be rich in flavor, aroma, and opportunities. I’m looking forward to engaging with participants, sharing insights, and exploring avenues that will benefit women in our community. I hope this event becomes an annual tradition that continues to inspire more women to share their passion and pursue their dreams,” said Ari Krisna Dewi, Bali Women in Leadership Ambassador.
