Getuk at Double Ikat Restaurant

4 Islands in 1 Night at Double Ikat Restaurant

November 2020, five chefs from Marriott properties in Bali collaborated in an event called 4 Islands in 1 Night. On this day, all guests were taken to a culinary “Spice journey” of 8 course tasting menu from Sumatra, Java, Bali and Sulawesi.

Known for its Indonesian new age dining approach, delectable cuisine offerings, attentive service and capturing ambience, Double Ikat is not only a place for couple, but now even more so ideal for family gatherings or just simple get-togethers.

The collaboration between chef at Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa and other 4 chefs

in Bali offered a great dining experience for the guests by allowing them to enjoy Balinese & Indonesian cuisine.

Getuk was one of the two desserts served on the event. Created by Chef Wisnu, Executive Sous Chef of Renaissance Bali Uluwatu, this Javanese sweet is made of sweet potato mousse, coconut jelly, and Bedugul strawberry compote.

Located just by the infinity pool overlooking the scenic horizon beyond, all of Double Ikat’s dishes are rooted in nature and, where possible, feature the finest locally sourced ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
