Homm Saranam Baturiti is delighted to announce the appointment of Agus Sugiyanto as the new Executive Chef. With experience working in various 5-star hotels and resorts for over 24 years, he will lead the culinary team and help to elevate high standards by crafting new culinary experiences for discerning guests.
His professional culinary journey began in 1996, after he accomplished his education at National Hotel Institute Bandung (NHI), then continued to gain his specialties at Culinary Institute America. He joined Park Hyatt Seoul Korea as his first experience with authentic Korean cooking techniques. Before joining HOMM Saranam Baturiti Bali, he was the Executive Chef of Hotel Arus Semarang. He had previously been a preopening team at The Anvaya Beach Resort Bali and The Las Viceroy Abu Dhabi.
Now, with the island calling once again, he finally joined The Banyan Tree Family to bring his expertise in culinary excellence to the table. With extensive experience and strong knowledge of specialty Pan Asian cuisine makes a stable platform for him to experiment with a creative combination of food across cultures. Subsequently, he has been working closely with some of the Michelin Star Chefs around the world. This made him achieve numerous awards and deliver even more accolade-worthy fare at our highly esteemed restaurants.
With a self-sustaining 1-hectare farm, the professional Chef and his talented team are on hand to ensure your requested meals fully. The farm-to-table concept is designed to showcase the resort’s sustainability and green philosophy where all natural ingredients grown and hand-picked from the fresh garden. He stated, “It’s such an honor to lead an incredible team at one of the iconic Hotels in Baturiti, Bali. I’m thrilled to bring a new extraordinary culinary journey for HOMM Saranam by creating seven signature dishes and looking forward to delivering them to our guests.”
