As the Hotel Manager of Zest Hotel Legian, could you share some distinctive features of the property that differ your brand from the rest?

Zest Hotel, Legian is a modern budget hotel with international standards of comfort and up-to-date facilities in the centre of the suburban Legian district. As a Budget Hotel we have provide complete comfort and convenience facilities for all travelers.

We have spacious Restaurant named Jaen Bar & Kitchen at the Ground Floor Zest Hotel Legian. With the industrial concept of interior, Jaen serves casual dining that masterfully blends authentic Balinese foods in a fusion style.

The hotel also has spacious Rooftop Swimming Pool. Swimming in the infinity pool on the rooftop is one of the main reasons why Zest Hotel Legian offers you spectacular value for money.   Witness a magnificent sunset from the top of the building while toasting the day with a bottle of beers or a glass of wine with friends

What book has influenced you the most?

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey

I have learned on how to focus on self-mastery and moving from dependence to independence, focus on developing teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills, and focus on continuous growth and improvement, and embody all the other habits.

I got a powerful lesson in personal change.

Our life doesn’t just “happen.” Whether we know it or not, it is carefully designed by ourselves. The choices, after all, are ours. We choose happiness. We choose sadness. We choose success. We choose failure. We choose courage. We choose fear. Just remember that every moment, every situation, provides a new choice. And in doing so, it gives us a perfect opportunity to do things differently to produce more positive results

“I am who I am today because of the choices I made yesterday “

What are the biggest challenges you’ve overcome so far in your position? Share a bit with us how

It’s not easy being a Manager and also has another rule as a wife and a mother. Workingwomen face the expectation to do well in all areas of their multi-faceted lives. In general, men are judged by how well they do in their careers, while women are judged by how well they excel with family, friends, ‘looking their best’ and, if they work, their career. It’s a struggle to find enough time in the day to focus on them all. I tried to keep in mind that during any part of our life, we can’t do it all, just do our best, keep balance and focus on the positive and what we have at the time.

What is your method of leading your staffs and subordinates? How do you motivate them?

Happy staffs are productive staffs. As we all know that to maximize revenue and increase productivity, we need our staff to work as efficiently as possible.

To motivate my staffs, I communicate with them frequently, and actually speak with them face-to-face. Give them an appreciation statement say ‘ thank you ‘ – ‘ Good job ‘ or give them reward to make them feel that we appreciate their hard work. The most important is how we act; how we speak it should be inspiring them as a role model.

If you could master one skill that you don’t have right now, what would it be?

I think I would like to be a singer! I want to be able to sing and perform in front of people, spreading the happiness to all my audiences.

What’s your favorite holiday destination in Bali?

Ubud! I can feel the genuine Balinese Culture, and experience different vibe than other destination in Bali. There, I can find rice field, a lot of art & craft, and also activities.

What is the last photo taken by your phone? Any story behind it?

A cup of Cappuccino. It was made by one of our Barista at Jaen Bar & Kitchen. Cappuccino is one of my favorite types of coffee; I can have it twice a day.

What is your vision for Zest Hotel Legian five years from now?

Become the best 2 star Hotel in Bali with the best value for money. Jaen Bar & Kitchen should become one of the restaurant & bar destinations in Bali where the guests can experience a combination of local and Western culinary treat.
