Can you briefly share your journey in the hospitality industry and what led you to your current role at Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort?
I started my hospitality adventure on the floor of a fine dining restaurant, learning the art of service and the magic of memorable meals. Over the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege to work with luxury hotels and leading independent brands, each adding a new flavor to my career recipe. When I discovered Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort, I was drawn to its genuine passion for guest service and the strong, family-like team culture. It felt like the perfect place to bring my experience in revenue optimization and team leadership to life and help the resort keep raising the bar.

What do you enjoy most about managing the Food & Beverage operations at Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort
For me, it’s all about creating moments guests will remember long after they’ve left. Whether it’s a beautifully plated dish, a themed buffet night, or a poolside cocktail, I love seeing our guests light up with joy. On top of that, I’m lucky to lead a team that’s supportive, creative, and always willing to push boundaries. Watching them grow professionally and knowing our success is a team effort is incredibly fulfilling.

Could you share the latest updates or highlights from the Food & Beverage department at Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort?
Absolutely! We’ve given our Seminyak Kitchen menu a fresh twist, focusing on locally sourced Balinese ingredients and modern Indonesian cooking techniques. Guests have loved it, and the feedback has been fantastic. We’ve also introduced themed buffet nights like BaliTopia and Backyard BBQ, which have become crowd favorites for both our in-house guests and the local community. And for that extra touch of atmosphere, we’ve brought in live DJ sets and a talented saxophonist at the Pool Lounge it’s a vibe you don’t want to miss.

How do you and your team stay updated with current food and beverage trends?
We’re big believers in continuous learning. That means keeping an eye on the market, checking out what’s trending, and swapping ideas as a team. We also like to get hands-on experimenting with new flavors, ingredients, and techniques in our own kitchen. It keeps our creativity alive and ensures our menus feel fresh and exciting.

What can guests look forward to with the newly reopened Pool Bar? 
Think tropical, vibrant, and effortlessly relaxing. Our refreshed Pool Bar offers a locally inspired cocktail menu, tasty light bites perfect for lounging by the water, and a comfortable, stylish space to soak up the Seminyak sunshine. It’s designed to be a little escape within your holiday complete with great drinks, great vibes, and great company.

What’s your personal favorite dish or drink currently offered at the resort?
At the Pool Bar, I can’t get enough of the Watermelon Mint Cooler it’s like a splash of refreshment in every sip. And at Seminyak Kitchen, the Nasi Goreng Seminyak holds a special place in my heart. It’s simple, authentic, and full of the bold Indonesian flavors I love.

What do you usually do for fun during your day off? 
I’m happiest when I’m unwinding with my family and friends or getting my hands a little dirty in the garden. It’s my way of recharging, so when I’m back at work, I’m ready to give my best and maybe dream up the next big idea for our guests.
