JUMEIRAH BALI CELEBRATES WORLD SEA TURTLE DAY WITH SEA TURTLE RELEASE

In celebration of World Sea Turtle Day, Jumeirah Bali hosted a meaningful Sea Turtle Release in continued collaboration with Eco Tourism Bali, reinforcing the resort’s long-term commitment to marine conservation. This marks the resort’s third release event since 2023, as part of Jumeirah Group’s global sustainability initiative.
Held along the resort’s pristine coastline, the event welcomed in-house guests, media and partners for an afternoon of conservation learning and participation. Guests witnessed the release of 30 newly hatched olive ridley sea turtles into their natural habitat. The event also included an educational session led by the Turtle Conservation and Education Center, highlighting the importance of ocean health and environmental responsibility.
This initiative forms part of Jumeirah Group’s broader marine conservation commitment, which includes:
- The Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project (DTRP): Over 2,300 sea turtles rescued and released since 2004, including 72 turtles returned to the ocean this month, some equipped with satellite trackers.
- Jumeirah Saadiyat Island (Abu Dhabi): In partnership with the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), 135 sea turtles were released on World Sea Turtle Day 2025.
- Jumeirah Al Naseem (Dubai): A guest-facing coral nursery developed with Ocean Revive, producing over 1,400 coral fragments, with more than 300 transplanted into the sea, contributing to DUBAI REEF.
“Our continued collaboration with Eco Tourism Bali enables us to create purposeful, guest-facing experiences that inspire a deeper connection to nature,” said Ram Hiralal, General Manager of Jumeirah Bali. “This release not only marks World Sea Turtle Day but also reflects our commitment to protecting Bali’s coastal ecosystems and contributing to Jumeirah Group’s global conservation mission.”
As Jumeirah Bali deepens its role in environmental stewardship, initiatives like the Sea Turtle Release invite guests to connect with nature, support conservation, and take part in a global movement toward responsible
