Jumeirah Bali is delighted to welcome Suyanto as its new  Sommelier and Beverage Manager, bringing over 25 years of expertise in curating exceptional  beverage experiences. With a deep-rooted passion for wine and an appreciation for the artistry of  pairing, Suyanto’s arrival marks an exciting new chapter in Jumeirah Bali’s dedication to refined,  sensory-driven dining experiences.

Suyanto’s journey began in 2001 at Four Seasons Jakarta, where he was instrumental in shaping  The Cellar & The Library, a destination for curated wine and cigar experiences. His innovative  approach led to a collaboration with Pacific Cigar, bringing his expertise to an international stage  in Hong Kong. To further refine his craft, he travelled to Four Seasons George V in Paris where he  immersed in the intricate nuances of old-world vintages and traditional French sommelier  techniques. Suyanto later earned the title of Indonesia’s Top Sommelier at the Indonesia Sommelier  Competition, organized by the Indonesia Sommelier Association – a milestone that propelled him  onto the global stage.

Wine is more than just a beverage – it is  an experience, a story woven through terroir, time, and tradition. Under Suyanto’s expertise, each dining destination will offer thoughtfully curated  wine selections and pairings that enhance their distinctive culinary offerings. Suyanto will also host  bespoke wine dinners, exclusive tasting sessions, wine classes and mixology experiences that reflect  Jumeirah Bali’s dedication to authenticity and innovation. The wine selection will highlight organic and biodynamic labels, ensuring each sip is not only exquisite but also thoughtfully sourced.
