Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Boy Syahputra Ginting as the new Head Chef. With over 10 years of culinary experience as a chef, Chef Boy will be leading the hotel’s culinary team of 25 staff in Bamboo Chic Restaurant, Le Scoop at WaLa, Smoqee Sky Bar, Pool Bar, as well as banquet culinary operations at Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran.
Chef Boy is a graduate of the Akademi Pariwisata Medan, where he studied Diploma III Culinary Management. Chef Boy received his unique experience from Banyan Tree Bintan, Soho Capital Building Medan, Plataran Menjangan Resort and Spa, and Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, many of whom earned Fine Dining and Luxury Experience. As Chef Boy himself admits, love and sharing in the family bring the spirit and positive vibes of cooking more than just food.
Chef Boy began his career in 2013 in Fine Dining at Soho Restaurant, Wine and bar, and his culinary experiences include roles with some of the world’s most prestigious hotels, Banyan Tree Bintan, Plataran Menjangan Resort and Spa, Pre Opening of Four Point by Sheraton Balikpapan and Pre Opening of Four Points by Sheraton Batam, and Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Maldives, which surely will bring a bright hope to Marriott International. As a brilliant professional, he was awarded as the winner of Ayo Makan Cook-Off Marriot International 2020, the best finalist Mentor Borneo Salon Culinary Gold Medalist in 2020, Silver Medalist of Lampung Fusion Salon Culinary 2017, and The Best Graduate from Akademi Pariwisata Medan in 2014.
His extensive professional background and strong specialization in several cuisines will bring fresh innovation and positive energy to the hotel, not only to the dining experience at our luxury family-friendly resort but also to the team at Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran. With his enthusiastic and proactive attitude, in this new capacity, Chef Boy looks forward to exploring his creativity and will share his knowledge in culinary quality with the team. Joining the team at Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran, Chef Boy will be responsible for managing all of the culinary operations, maintaining and controlling food quality, bring unique, memorable, and premium experience to level up the culinary journey at Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran.
