MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL INDONESIA BERSAMA MUSICAL FUNDRAISING EVENT & VIRTUAL RUN TO GIVE 2020
Marriott International Indonesia announced a month-long series of fundraising events taking place from 1st October to 31st October 2020. Through “Marriott Indonesia Bersama Musical Fundraising Event” and “Virtual Run To Give 2020”, Marriott International Indonesia hopes to raise funds to support its associates and their families who have been impacted by the ongoing pandemic.
Marriott Indonesia Bersama Musical Fundraising Event” is a three-part virtual Musical Fundraising Event which will take place every Saturday, on 17th, 24th and 31st, October 2020 at 7PM WIB. At this event, 14 associate bands from Marriott hotels and resorts across Indonesia will showcase their talent online through the Marriott International Indonesia YouTube Channel.
Supporting this great cause, and with the aim of raising as much funds as possible to support Marriott associates in need, is Sheila Majid and Yayasan Puteri Indonesia.
Malaysia’s singing sensation; Sheila Majid, will be performing on 31st October 2020 at 7PM WIB, with renditions of some of her popular hits such as “Warna”, “Cinta Jangan Kau Pergi” and “Antara Anyer dan Jakarta” to name a few. Her musical prowess especially in the genre of R&B and jazz music has led her to be dubbed “Malaysia’s Queen of Jazz”.
And alongside Sheila Majid, the top 3 Puteri Indonesia (Ayu Maulida, Ayu Saraswati and Jihane Almira Chedid) who will representing Indonesia at the upcoming Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Supranational pageants respectively, will also lend a hand in supporting the event.
In addition to that, in partnership with Bali Children Foundation, Run to Give is an annual Marriott Asia Pacific charity run event under the company’s TakeCare movement. This year, fifty-five (55) hotels from Marriott International hotels and resorts in Indonesia will come together to raise money for an Indonesia-wide associates relief fund, which will be dedicated to support Marriott associates who have been affected by the COVID 19 pandemic. What makes it even more special is, this event will be Marriott Indonesia’s first ever virtual charity run, in line with the ‘new normal’, while adhering to safe-distancing measures, to safeguard the wellbeing of guests, associates and participants.
This event has a registration fee of IDR 200,000 and as part of the registration, participants will receive an E-Certificate. We encourage everyone to join in on this month-long event, share your experience, and inspire others to support.
