To take a step further, Meliá Bali mandates its entire staff to complete Covid-19 Online Training and Certification from Bali International Medical Centre (BIMC) and World Health Organization (WHO), which makes Melia Bali as the first hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali area to do so. The hotel is also implementing daily health monitoring and daily disinfection regulation as well as preparing all adequate anti-epidemic materials. As Gabriel Escarrer, Executive Vice President and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, explains: “Bureau Veritas’ certification confirms that our new processes and adaptation of spaces comply with the most stringent health and safety precautions and the most demanding international standards. This will be a key factor for operating in the postCOVID-19 era.” The preventive measures that have been incorporated from “Stay Safe by Meliá” consist of, but not confined to, pre-arrival information and preparation before travel, new signage system, capacity reduction to guarantee social distancing, installation of protective screens in reception and dining-room services, digitalized system to eliminate all paper, and further preventive detailed measures for every department at every area of the hotel to truly adjust every activity and facility of the hotel to not only meet, but exceed, the health and safety standards. news melia
