PINK ON THE GREEN

A Breast Cancer Awareness Event

Bali Pink Ribbon (BPR) supported by Hatten Wines, Bali’s award-winning winery, is celebrating “Pink on the Green” this month to support the fight against breast cancer. BPR will host an elegant and dazzling evening of music, song, and fundraising at the Hatten Wine building on Saturday, November 25.

Following the successful Indonesia Goes Pink run last month organized by BPR, this event aims to spread the important message of pro active self breast examination, screening and early detection, offering a better chance of survival and recovery.

Themed “Pink on the Green”, the event brings the message of breast cancer awareness in a festive ambiance of Christmas. With the Season of Goodwill and a New Year fast approaching, “Pink on the Green” aims not only to provide an afternoon of memorable enjoyment for all, but also to encourage people to reflect, even for a moment, about the wellbeing of Balinese women who are the core of their families. The local community will come together to enjoy a fun day in a wonderland of music, song, dance, wine tasting, delicious foods, bazaar, games and jollifications as the season of goodwill approaches.

Tickets will be on sale for IDR 150.000 per person, including one glass of wine. The proceeds will be used to fund next year’s breast screening roadshows and educational programmes planned for April 2018 for the outer islands of Lombok and Nusa Penida.

BPR also plans to set aside funding from this charity event to assist the families returning to Gunung Agung, following their recent evacuation from their homes and forced sale of livestock, to supplement their cost of living. For purchasing tickets or donations contact info@balipinkribbon.com.
